Using Online Games in Textile Engineering Education

Recent technological advancements have a fundamental potential to transform 21st century textile engineering [1]. Thus, it is essential further incorporate innovations in industry. In education alike, innovative teaching methods, for instance, learning through virtual reality [2], by making [3], and game-based [4] are apt, fact, required methods teach these subjects Industry 4.0 more understandable holistic way. Specifically, seen as beneficial the part of knowledge acquisition, student engagement independent [4]. This paper presents pilot study about how online games (‘ChoiCo’-Choices with Consequences) co-created industry partners scope an Erasmus+ KA2 project (T-CREPE), been incorporated into design course university Belgium. The purpose this reflect on impact using digital students’ gains from approach. Ten (n = 10) students participated questionnaires providing quantitative qualitative data games. Also, reflection reports written each game provided personal insights. results shown that can be useful improving skills (e.g., critical thinking, problem solving, self-learning).
